Racial Justice Training for the Roundtable
with Yavilah McCoy
Monday, August 14
at the offices of Nutter, McClennen and Fish: 155 Seaport Blvd. Boston, MA 02210
This is not an introductory training - it is designed for Roundtable organizations who can confidently say:
- Yes, my organization is actively engaged in racial justice work
- Yes, my organization can identify at least 2 people of color within my organization to either help lead or advise this work
- Yes, we can commit to completing a racial climate organizational self-assessment by Monday, July 31
- Yes, our organization can contribute $100 to send between 2 and 5 staff or lay leaders
We look forward to providing a full-day of racial justice and equity training that will deepen authenticity, skill building, partnership, and capacity for service among Boston Roundtable organizations.
Who should come?
It's completely up to your organization who to send based on the goals above. You can bring staff, board members, or lay leaders. This is mostly geared towards staff, though, and we suggest inviting lay leaders only if they are very much involved in deliberating how to apply racial justice to your organization's work (internally or externally to the organization).
Please submit the $100 registration fee per organization by check by August 14th.
